Hi Dennis, I have a very difficult time with the Warrior A Pose ( Virabhadrasana A ).
It just seems to be to challenging for my legs/hips and sometimes shoulders, neck and head! Any suggestions?

The above technique is for students that have open hips and legs. This also includes students that are stepping from downward dog into Warrior A while doing the sun salutes (Surya Namaskara B).
It is substantially safer to practice Warrior A with the front foot over to the side of your mat, so that your stance has a width to it, (your front foot is not in line with your back foot). This gives your hips and legs a chance to breath and open organically. As they open up you can start to bring the feet back in line with each other.
Let’s make this even safer! From your downward dog step forward into your Warrior A but keep the back heel lifted up over the toes, then when you are ready set the heel onto the ground firmly. Hope that helps! Dennis
